Switching
What happens to your open cases.
You're not adding a tool. You're moving your practice onto a new system, and the question that matters is what happens to the cases already in flight. Here is exactly what happens.
Or open the demo first. No signup.
How the move works
- 1You export from your current system, or give us access and we export for you.
- 2We import your open cases, closed cases, contacts, documents, form data and deadlines. People at ParaLeagle do this, not a script you run.
- 3Every imported case lands in a review queue. Your paralegal checks each one before it's live. A case you haven't checked can't produce a form.
- 4You run both systems for up to 60 days. Nothing in your old system changes.
- 5You turn the old system off when you're ready. We never ask you to turn it off first.
What we import
Moves with you
Open and closed cases. Contacts, employers and beneficiaries. Documents, with their folder structure. Form data already entered. Receipt numbers and deadlines. Notes and case history where your system exports them.
Rebuilt here, better
The fact record for each client, built from the documents and the form data you already have, so the next petition starts from what's there. Checklists on every open case showing what's still missing. Deadlines set from the receipt notices.
What it costs
Open cases move for free, and the whole firm is covered from day one with unlimited seats. Pricing is set for your firm from its size and case mix. Tell us both and we send a number.
How long it takes
A firm of one to four attorneys is usually moved and reviewed within a week of giving us the export. Larger document archives take longer, and we'll tell you how long before we start.
What stays yours
Your data is yours. Export everything, anytime, in open formats. If you leave, you leave with your cases.
